If you were to vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota, what would be the most important part of your adventure? Would it be the local food, such as bison; would it be Mount Rushmore; hiking in the forest; climbing the towering granite rocks; fishing in the mountain streams and lakes; backpacking; caving; touring the beautiful scenic highways; enjoying the culture and art of the area; visiting Crazy Horse Mountain Carving; thinking, seeing, breathing and doing something different . . . What is important to you?
Greetings, it is a beautiful Spring afternoon in the beautiful Black Hills and I am enjoying this gorgeous day with my beautiful wife! Welcome to our blogger. Please feel free to comment. Sam
ReplyDeleteOk, I would like to respond to the first comment, posted by my hard-working and very tolerant husband, who is also not bad looking. I am glad he was in such a mood that he would compliment me that way. The truth is, in the photo (under About Me) the children you see are Sam's father and aunt, approximately 1914. It is uncanny how much Sam and I looked like the two of them when we were that age! Linda
ReplyDeleteIf you need lodging while touring the Black Hills I highly recommend the Mountain to Prairies Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with fabulous decor. You'll also enjoy a wonderful breakfast prepared by the owner's themselves. Linda & Sam also make great organic teas and coffee along with having homemade jams & jellies for sale. You can spend hours in the unique antique shop. I had the opportunity of spending this past weekend at the Bed & Breakfast with a group of high school friends and even though Saturday was rainy the walk on the Mickelson Trail, just steps from the front door, was awesome! Oh, I almost forgot the most important part, the hospitality of the owners! Thanks Linda & Sam for an incredible weekend.
